Mounds View's boys' and girls' track and field teams have secured their places among the perennial True Team powers, reaching the Class 3A meet almost annually and winning several titles.

The True Team scoring format requires contributions from athletes throughout the lineup. The Mustangs girls received winning performances at last week's Section 6 meet fromKai Mason (100-meter hurdles), Paige Clements (pole vault), Ali Zimmerman (long jump) and Veronica Rasmussen (shot put, discus throw).

For the boys, Mounds View's Zach Roozen won the 1,600, Jagger Gran triumphed in pole vault and Matt Wildes swept the shot put and discus throw.

Mounds View will compete Friday evening at Stillwater High School.
